Customer Spotlight Series: Afterglow Brewing
Josh Evans has a passion for beer and experimenting with new flavors and concoctions. After winning several awards for his craft, Josh earned his brewers certificate from Cornell University and opened Afterglow Brewing in Norfolk, Virginia. We connected with Josh to learn more about starting a small business.
How Did You Get Into The Craft Brewing Industry?
I was a physical therapist for the last 15 years and decided to make a career change after COVID. I wanted to make a better life for my family and be my own boss. I am now the head brewer and owner of Afterglow Brewing.
Where Do You See Afterglow Brewing Going in the Next Few Years?
We want to grow to be a local brand. Within the next year we would like to start distribution in cans and getting draft beer into bars and restaurants.
What Are You Doing to Stand Out in the Highly Competitive Craft Brewing Space?
We are super kid and pet-friendly. We have a large outdoor area. We also support the local college and sports teams. We show all sports and have TV's in our brewery which most others around here do not. We also hold kid friendly events so that families can enjoy time with each other every month or so.

The price and quality have been great so far!
We’re so glad to hear that! Afterglow Brewing ordered a whole branding package from Stomp, including a custom canopy tent and table covers, stickers, and brewery essentials like labels and keg collars.
