Now, she operates “And She Bakes,” a one-woman bake operation delivering decorative cakes and cakesicles to the Nashville, TN area. MJ is a woman of many talents, she’s an actress, content creator, producer, event planner, entrepreneur… and she bakes.

Tell Us About How She Bakes and How You Got Started
Baking became a hobby of mine about 6 years ago and quickly turned into one of my passions. I come from a big family and a creative background. The mix of both inspired me to take up baking.
Getting to flex my creativity in a way that can tangibly be consumed by my family and friends quickly became a very rewarding process, eventually leading me to create And She Bakes! Every day, I enjoy being creative while knowing that my edible artwork will be an important part of someone's special day.
Where Do You See And She Bakes Taking You?
I mentioned above that I am a one-woman show. I take pride in doing it all... AND baking, but I'd love to eventually surround myself with a team that loves doing this just as much as me. I'd love to expand from my home kitchen into a commercial space, storefront, or even multiple locations nationwide.
The thing I love most about And She Bakes is that it's limitless. While the focus right now is on custom cakes and cakesicles, I'd love to expand my menu, my team and my reach! She can go for it all, And She Bakes!

My personal touch! You aren't going to find many bakeries out there where each creation, from conception to completion, is all handled by the same person. With this, each order is truly made with love and extreme attention to detail. From working with the client on the design, to baking, decorating, and eventually delivering the order to the client, no steps are missed and no corners are cut.
I make sure that every client feels seen, and that the product delivered to them exceeds expectations. It's an incredible honor and responsibility to contribute to people's special celebrations and life moments - I never take that lightly!
