Customer Spotlight: Milltown Haunt
In the rich farmlands of Loudoun County, Virginia, an innovative attraction blends traditional farming with the thrill of the Halloween season. Milltown Haunt, founded by Sarah Gregg and her husband, transforms their family farm into a captivating haunted experience each year. Let’s delve into how they’ve turned agriculture and entertainment into a harmonious venture.
Â
How did Milltown Haunt begin, and what inspired you to start this venture?
Milltown Haunt is a unique blend of farming and haunting, located on nearly 13 acres of farmland in Loudoun County, Virginia. It was born out of our need to diversify and support our farming operations, which have faced financial challenges due to drought, rising costs, and competition. My wife Sarah and I, as third-generation farmers, saw an opportunity to transform our farm into a haunted attraction that could draw in tourism, foster community engagement, and bring a thrilling experience to the area. Over the years, we’ve restored the property, including barns and a once-unlivable house, and turned it into a thriving farm and haunt venue. The haunt not only provides seasonal fun but also helps us support local organizations, including donating 10% of our proceeds to The Arc of Loudoun. It’s been a rewarding way to combine our love of farming with our passion for creating unforgettable experiences.

What are Milltown Haunt's goals and visions for the future?
At Milltown Haunt, one of our primary goals is to create a thrilling and immersive haunted experience that brings people together and draws tourism to Loudoun County. We aim to continue expanding our attraction each year, offering new scares and features that excite both returning and new guests. Another key goal is to support our local community by partnering with local businesses and donating a portion of our proceeds to organizations like The Arc of Loudoun. We’re also focused on sustaining our family farm by using the proceeds from the haunt to offset the financial challenges we face in agriculture. Long-term, we hope to build a destination that is both a staple for seasonal entertainment and a crucial part of preserving local farmland. Finally, we want to foster a sense of teamwork and creativity within our crew, creating a space where people passionate about horror can thrive.

How does Milltown Haunt differentiate itself from other haunted attractions?
Milltown Haunt stands out because we combine the excitement of a haunted attraction with the authenticity of a working family farm. Our haunt is set on nearly 13 acres of farmland, giving guests an expansive, immersive experience that blends indoor and outdoor scares. Unlike many commercial haunts, we offer a unique local touch by partnering with nearby businesses and supporting the community through charitable donations, such as our commitment to The Arc of Loudoun. Our setting, with restored barns and eerie farmland, provides a genuine atmosphere that you won’t find at typical haunted attractions. Additionally, we’re constantly evolving—each year brings new scares, features, and events like Jeepers Night and Oktoberfest Weekend, making every visit fresh and exciting. With a dedicated crew, we prioritize creativity and innovation, ensuring guests leave with unforgettable memories.
