Customer Spotlight: Alva Beer Co.
Small-town charm meets craft beer passionβthatβs the story behind Alva Beer Co., a brewery and pizza spot nestled in rural Oklahoma. Owner Cody Williams turned a 100-year-old downtown building into a community hub for cold brews, wood-fired pizzas, and good vibes. What started as a homebrewerβs dream has grown into a welcoming space thatβs putting Alva on the map, one pint at a time.
We caught up with Cody to learn more about his journey and how Stomp products help support his growing brand.
How did your brewing journey lead to opening Alva Beer Co.?
I have been a homebrewer for over 15 years and have had a passion for craft beer going back to the early 2000's. After my wife and I lived in Colorado from 2007-2011 and witnessed so many great breweries get their start, we thought that it might be something we could do sometime down the road. Post Covid brought me the realization that so many things are fleeting and we had moved back to my wife's small hometown where we had spent several years after moving back to Oklahoma from Colorado. We decided that our little town needed a spark and this was our way of doing that. We purchased a nearly 100 year old building in our downtown square and spent the next year and a half building what is now our home for Alva Beer Co.

Whatβs the vision for the brewery moving forward?
We are a small brewpub style facility in a small town in a very rural part of the country. We have no grandiose vision that we'll distribute beer all over the state or country but we'd like to get a bigger footprint in our little region. We would like to continue to grow and attract new visitors to this area and to our town by creating a fun, relaxing, and inviting space for people from all walks of life to enjoy great beer, great pizza, and live music.

What sets you apart from other spots in the area?
As far as other breweries in our area there are not many competitors. We have two in a town an hour away but we don't consider them competition. And as far are food establishments we don't have many competitors outside of some small chains here in our small town. We provide hand-made wood-fire style pizzas along with salads and appetizers that no one can get anywhere else and that are a step above what you'd find in a lot of similar establishments in this part of the world. We pride ourselves on our ability to be so hands-on with our products and making sure that they are always the best that they can be.

How did you first find Stomp?
I decided to try out Stomp after doing some research online before we opened our brewery. I was trialing some of my beers and had purchased a can seamer for crowler sized cans and wanted to take those to people around town to showcase what they could expect once we opened. The crowler labels came very quickly and were of a great quality and had sharp lines with no problems when applied with our labeler. It was a no-brainer to continue those orders when we needed more labels and it made sense to try out Stomp for our festival pop-up tent as well!
