Customer Spotlight: Badger Aquatics Club

Rewarding More Than Just a Win With Custom Stickers

As they say in sports: it’s not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game. At Badger Aquatics Club, a competitive swim club in Wisconsin, head coach and CEO Jacob Johnson believes this saying. Race winners and swimmers who exhibit excellent team spirit and sportsmanship all receive something extra as recognition.

But medals aren't the only rewards. The club uses Stomp’s custom stickers as a fun way to celebrate their youth swimmers and promote the program. Let’s dive into Badger Aquatics Club and how they use sports team stickers to pump up their swimmers.

Badger Aquatics Cares About Character, Not the Stopwatch

Founded in 1999, the Badger Aquatics Club is a nonprofit organization with ties to the community since the 1970s. Jacob says the club has over 750 swimmers in any given year, welcoming kids as young as 5 all the way up to college swimmers back home for the summer.

Youth development lies at the heart of the club. Swimmers work hard to compete, learning independence and responsibility. Although the club frequently competes against other top Midwest teams, Jacob emphasizes that the club doesn’t measure success only by race times or state championships:

“Success in youth sports can also mean physical fitness and health, making new friends, or living new experiences. It can mean choosing to try something hard."

Badger Aquatics Club goes for a Lego theme with custom die cut stickers printed by Stomp Stickers.

How Badger Aquatics Uses Sports Team Stickers

Come to a Badger Aquatics meet and you can expect to see some fun custom stickers. While race winners receive stickers, they aren’t the only ones who are celebrated. Badger Aquatics recognizes all types of wins with stickers, including handing them out for good sportsmanship and team spirit.

Winning isn’t everything, and there are plenty of achievements to be proud of outside of who has the best time. Stickers are a fun way to recognize athletes while also promoting the club to potential new swimmers.

Jacob states the club’s “athlete retention rate is considerably higher than the national average.” Perhaps he is onto something by handing out stickers to more than just medal holders.

Stomp's custom sticker options allow Badger Aquatics Club to supply unique stickers for every occasion and celebrate every type of win. From spooktacular award stickers to holographic stickers that enhance their colorful swag, the club is always trying different designs while keeping swimming the focus of the artwork.

Fast Turnaround From Stomp Makes For a Photo Finish

Just like swim competitions, time is often of the essence for sticker orders. Sometimes an idea or need arises close to an event date. But whenever Jacob needed last-minute stickers for the club, Stomp was able to meet the tight deadlines without sacrificing the print quality.

Recognition That Continues to Stick With the Team

As the swimmers at Badger Aquatics Club continue to compete, so too shall the sticky honors. The club's goal is to provide a fun and fulfilling youth sports experience for all of their athletes, teaching them lessons that go beyond the pool. Each swimmer learns that winning means more than gold, silver, or bronze. Sometimes it's a custom sticker.
