Customer Spotlight: Tasty Amy's

From fiery sauces that need a warning label to rich Meltaway cookies, Tasty Amy's is built on family, tradition, and the joys of sharing food.

Amy Patel knew her husband’s salsa was special, so did their friends, neighborhood, and pretty much anyone who tried it. It was her dream to share the salsa with the rest of the world. So she did just that.

Founded in Austin, Texas, Tasty Amy’s blends Indian and Mexican cuisine, selling spicy salsas, tikka sauces, and boldly flavored cookies at farmers markets, local stores, and online. When the business launched and needed custom food labels, Stomp was happy to deliver.

Check out how Amy’s family helped bring the flavorful brand to life and made their products a local favorite.

The Origin of Flavor

For years, Amy pestered her husband Mike about selling his beloved salsa, and she decided to finally fulfill that dream in November 2024. On a windy morning in Austin, Tasty Amy’s set up shop at their first farmers market, selling their homemade salsas, tikka sauces, and Meltaway cookies.

Word caught on, and soon they were selling their products at sometimes five events a week. As they say, everything is bigger in Texas. Tasty Amy's grew faster than the family expected, and they transitioned to manufacturing in a commercial kitchen to meet demand.

"Our goal is to reach as many people as we can throughout Austin by selling at local markets and stores," says Amy.

A collision of culinary styles, Tasty Amy’s blends flavors that are bold and complex, like their Vanilla Chai Meltaway Cookies that are crafted with chickpea flour and rich, aromatic ghee. Or their award-winning Hot Sala that combines spicy serrano and Thai peppers. Every product is inspired by family recipes and uses the highest quality of ingredients.

Care for Community Leads to Growth

As a family business, Tasty Amy’s puts their customers first and stays close to their community. Their vegan tikka sauce came about when a customer expressed a need for one, and Amy listened. The brand also includes gluten-free options and milder salsas for those who prefer less kick.

These thoughtful and inclusive product decisions are what helped Tasty Amy's grow and resonate with their community. It's easy to see how they became a success:

"Our customers tell us our products are so much better tasting than other store brands. They love the fresh homemade taste."

Hard to argue with that.

Tasty Amy’s is focused on taste, but also the experience. They believe in food’s power to bring together family and friends. To share with those in the neighborhood and community.

Tasty Amy's uses playful branding and fiery colors on their Stomp labels to complement the spicy flavors. Their packaging looks as good as their sauce tastes.

Spicy Labels From Stomp Seal the Deal

Amy kept everything in the family, including the branding. She enlisted the help of her son-in-law, who came up with the brand name, and her daughter, who designed the cheeky logo to match their bold flavors. Tasty Amy's uses a mix of our square waterproof labels and rectangle waterproof labels for their products. Made from durable BOPP materials, these labels work well on sauce jars and curved packaging.

Amy's decision to print their product labels with Stomp was simple: "The quality, options, and pricing."

Our BOPP labels are also built to survive refrigeration, outdoor markets, and repeated handling. So Tasty Amy's can focus on what they do best: making delicious sauces and cookies.

👊 Stomp Tip: Before you print your labels, review what needs to be on food labels to help you stay compliant and follow the rules.

Tasty Amy’s Is Turning Up the Heat

Along with winning awards from food competitions, Tasty Amy's sauces, cookies, and spicy labels are popping up everywhere. Their products can be found online, at local Austin farmers markets and festivals, specialty retail shops, and pop-ups.

We're excited to see what's next for Amy and her family as they continue to fulfill their dream of sharing their recipes and connecting the community through food. Thank you for trusting us with your custom product labels!
