Upscaling Images

If an uploaded image is not sharp enough for print, the Stomp design tool may show a red warning message letting you know the image quality is low. The upscale tool can help improve some images before you use them in a custom sticker, label, decal, or product design.

Two Ways to Upscale an Image

  • From the warning bar: If you see the red warning message, click the Fix button in the bar.
  • From the left menu: Select your image, then choose Upscale Image from the left-hand options.

How to Review the Upscale

After upscaling, use the preview toggle to compare the original image with the improved version.

  • Switch back and forth to compare both versions.
  • Check important details, edges, and text for clarity.
  • Choose whether to keep the upscaled version or use your original upload.

Things to Keep in Mind

Upscaling can improve some low-resolution images, but it cannot fully replace a high-quality original file. For the best printed result, start with the clearest, largest image you have whenever possible.

If an image still looks blurry, pixelated, or hard to read after upscaling, it may be better to upload a higher-resolution file before placing your order.
